RACC Grant Award Winner

February 20th, 2025. In collaboration with the City of Portland’s Office of Arts & Culture, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) has awarded $1.2 million in arts funding to 275 Portland-based artists and arts and culture organizations. Rose City MissChief was one of these recipients, 185 awardees are individual artists, 90 awardees are arts and culture organizations, and 131 awardees stated that they’ve never received a grant award from RACC. From performing and visual arts, to film and literature, art forms from every medium are represented among selected grantees.

She Rhyme Won!

We are so grateful to be a recipient of the Regional Arts & Cultural Center's Project Grant for performing arts in the category of catalyst totaling $3,000 in the 2019-20 RACC Project Grants Cycle .  Those funds assisted us in keeping She Rhyme moving forward during Covid.  We are looking forward to partnering with them again in the future to host in person concerts or networking events.  Thank you RACC!

ShaRhonda "Rose City MissChief" McCauley

I created She Rhyme to support and preserve the voice of women in hip-hop. I believe this can be done by providing opportunities to bring women and girls together to share and exchange in the tradition of the fifth element of hip-hop, knowledge, which is preceded by graffiti, turntablism, emceeing and break-dancing.
